Azerbaijani President receives ITU Secretary-General

Baku – APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today received ITU Secretary-General of International Telecommunication Union Hamadoun Touré.
According to APA-Economics, mentioning President Ilham Aliyev’s attendance the ITU Geneva summit and his words “I’ll change black gold to human capital†Touré noted that those ideas were today realized.
The guest said that the IGF was organized in high level and stressed significance of collaboration of Azerbaijan with his organization.
In turn, the head of state underlined Azerbaijan’s successes in non-oil sector, including information and communication technologies during past 9 years. Noting significance of the 7th IGF in Azerbaijan indicates that the ITU appreciates the works in ICT sector in Azerbaijan.
