U.S. State Department official Philip Verveer: â€˜Organization of IGF in Baku shows growing reputation of Azerbaijan in the worldâ€™

Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. â€˜We expect a lot from the results of the international forum dedicated to online mass media security, which will be held within the framework of Internet Governance Forum in Bakuâ€™, U.S. State Department Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy Philip Verveer said, APA reports.

To him, the forum, which will start on November 6, will focus on cyber security, issues on prevention the use of internet for terrorist purposes.

â€˜All spheres in Azerbaijan have highly developed and the country became one of the leading countries in the world. So, organization of such grandiose event in Azerbaijan shows its growing reputation not only in the region, but also in the whole world. Today, Azerbaijan, with its dynamic development, tries to solve several global problems, annoying the world and it contributes to realization of world-scale projectsâ€™, added Verveer.

U.S. State Department official also noted that this event would support to eliminate internet problems in the U.S., too. And it will back to organize future works in a right way.
