Azerbaijan joins the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. The State Accreditation Service under the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZSTAND) has become member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation as a supervisor.

By becoming member of ILAC, the State Accreditation Service won opportunity to participate in preparation of new standards and rules in accreditation field, obtaining of normative documents on the accepted accreditation and take part in practice exchange in this direction. At the same time, wide opportunities created for elimination of technical problems, as well as exchange of scientific technical information and technologies in trade.

Membership at ILAC provides international recognition of national accreditation activity, which stimulates development of national accreditation system by using advantages of countries having experience in accreditation sphere. From now on, State Accreditation Service will partake in annual meetings of ILAC General Assembly, as well as it will take part in the activity of organizationâ€™s committees on support for political and technical issues, marketing, laboratories and new accreditation system.
