Entrance of large trucks to Azerbaijanâ€™s capital to be prohibited

According to Ministry, this step purposes simplify the traffic in the city and also protect the road surface: â€˜Large trucks, as well as TIRs create obstacles in city traffic, plus, damage road surfaceâ€™.

As a way out, it is decided to prohibit entrance of large-tonnage trucks to the city and transport the cargo by smaller trucks. For this purpose, cargo terminals will be constructed in the different entrances of the capital. Cargos will be unloaded from trucks and loaded in smaller ones. The exact number of terminals, to be constructed in the entrances of the city, has not been fixed yet. But the source told that they will be built in northern and southern entrances of Baku.
