One in every four property purchasers in Turkey chooses Alanya

Baku. Ali Ahmedov - APA-Economics. The real estate companies in Azerbaijan and abroad participate in BakuBuild-2012 international construction exhibition on October 17-19. Representative of Turkish Soysal Group Investment Company Elena Artsibasheva told APA-Economics that, a new law abolishing the principle of reciprocity was adopted in Turkey. According to this principle, only the persons of those countries, in which Turkish citizens could purchase property, can purchase property in Turkey. In accordance with new law, this law was abolished. Citizens of many countries, as well as Azerbaijan can purchase property in Turkey.

Artsibasheva says according to non-official information, Azerbaijani citizens are active in purchase of property in Turkey after adoption of new law: â€œBut, if we take into consideration that, the sale of property under the new rules started 2 months ago, there is not an exact statistics about number of property purchased by any countryâ€.

Artsibasheva noted that traditionally, Russian citizens lead among the CIS countries for purchase of property. This was caused by Russian citizensâ€™ right for purchase of property in Turkey before this law. Because of, Turkish citizens have rights to buy property in Russia.

She noted that Russians usually purchase property in Alanya, because of its clean beaches and favorable climate: â€œAlanya has 300 sunny days in a year, resort season lasts 10 months. Thatâ€™s why one in every four property purchasers in Turkey chooses Alanyaâ€.
