TeliaSonera: Azercell intends to maintain top position in Azerbaijanâ€™s telecommunication market â€“ <font color=red>PHOTO </font>

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. TeliaSonera Group President and CEO Lars Nyberg has today met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov.

Azercell told APA that after the meetings Nyberg held meeting with media representatives.

During the meeting Nyberg spoke about the achievements of TeliaSonera Group of Companies, which operates in 19 countries of the world. He noted that at present time, Azercell is one of the hugest and important companies in the Eurasian region and at the same time the company plays a significant role in non-oil sector of Azerbaijan.

Touching upon leadership changes at Azercell and TeliaSonera, Nyberg said that TeliaSonera was loyal to render high-level service in Azerbaijan and Azercell intends to maintain top position in telecommunication market of the country.

Note that, Azercell is a part of TeliaSonera. TeliaSonera was formed by a merger of Swedenâ€™s Telia and Finlandâ€™s Sonera corporations in December 2002. Currently, it is one of the largest and the strongest International Carriers of Europe.
