Baku - APA-Economics. A meeting held at Azersu OJSC with the delegation led by Director of Japan International Cooperation Agency for Central Asia and Caucasus, Tetsuya Yamada.

Chairman of Azersu Gorkhmaz reminded participation of Japan government and companies in investment projects realized in Azerbaijan. He highly assessed the role of JICA in establishment of water supply and sewerage system.

To him, within the framework of a joint project of the Government of Azerbaijan and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) - Small Towns Water Supply & Sanitation, works have been started in Gusar, Khachmaz and Khizi cities; Yevlakh, Barda, Naftalan and Gobustan is under tender procedures. By the year-end works will be started in these cities, as well.

Expressing satisfaction of cooperation with Azerbaijani government, Tetsuya Yamada noted that JICA will do it best to support successful implementation of reestablishment of water supply and sewerage system.

"Water Supply & Sanitation in Small Towns implies improvement of water supply and sewerage systems in 10 cities and regions (Salyan, Shirvan, Neftchala, Barda, Khachmaz, Yevlakh, Naftalan, Khizi, Gusar and Gobustan).
