New president of Azercell Telecom appointed
Following the same rotation scheme, Chiril Gaburici, a current president of Moldcell, has been appointed as president of Azercell.
Rotation within the business area of TeliaSonera Eurasia serves the purpose of strengthening corporate governance. This experience leading to development of the business will provide opportunity to presidents to broaden their activities, implement more creative and more attractive projects. As the result, the mobile operators within TeliaSonera will benefit from new perspectives and different working methods.
We would like to note that Ali Agan was appointed as president of Azercell in 2008. Under his management the company has not only survived tough competition in the market, but also was able to sustain its leading position. During his term Azercell also managed to retain in average over 50% profitability.
Chiril Gaburici worked in Moldcell since August 2001. After working for some years as the sales director, in 2008 he was appointed as the president of the company. Chiril Gaburici managed to increase financial indexes of the company, gain over a million subscribers and achieve profitability up to 35%.
The rotation of the presidents is expected to take place during the months of September-October.
