Baku hosts plenary meeting of Ministerial Meeting’s session of Organization for Cooperation of Railways

Baku. Ali Ahmadov – APA-ECONOMICS. Today, Ministerial Meeting of the Organization for Cooperation of Railways has started two-day plenary meeting.

The meeting took place within the framework of the 40th session of the Ministerial Meeting of the Organization for Cooperation of Railways.

Spokesperson of Azerbaijan Railways JSC Nadir Azmammadov told APA that the event will focus on activity of the organization for 2011, development strategy off the organization, action plan for the coming years and etc.

On June 5-6, the authorized representatives of the member countries will hold initial review of materials and projects of the session; on June 7-8, plenary meeting will be held with the members of the Ministerial Meeting of the organization. At the end of the event, the appropriate protocol will be signed.

Note that, the Organization for Cooperation of Railways is an international organization established at the ministerial meeting of rail transport on June 28, 1956 in Sofia (Bulgaria). At present, the organization has 27 members.
