Azerbaijan starts to apply 4G technology for the first time

According to President Ali Agan, this technology was applied in 37 countries, including 9 European countries.

Agan noted that, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology had granted licence to Azercel on this issue and allocated frequency. It will be broadcasted in 1800 MHz frequency with the speed of 100 Mbit/sec. Firstly it will cover central streets of Baku â€“ thatâ€™s Seaside National Park, Crystal Hall, ELmler Akademiyasi Station of Metro, Azerbaijan Pedagogical University, Natevan Plaza, Azerbaijan State Academic Drama Theatre, Kempinski Hotel and Narimanov Statue. By the end of the year, the coverage is expected to double.

To use this technology, it needs to purchase modem for AZN 149. MOnthl;y unlimited internet traffic package is AZN 45. But person buying 4G modem will be able to use unlimited internet traffic in the first month.
