Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. The volume of construction work in Azerbaijan from January to April, 2012 was increased 42.9% in comparison to the previous period.

The State Statistics Committee told APA that 73.6 percent of the work was the new constructions, reconstruction and enlargement, 12.6 percent â€“ fundamental repair, 2.3 percent â€“ current repair, 11.5 percent â€“ other construction work. 27.7 percent of the work was conducted by the public construction companies, 72.3 percent - by the private companies.

435 900 sq meters of residential apartments were opened in January-April, 2012, which exceeded the last yearâ€™s figure by 3.8%.
