According to APA, amendments are planned in Commercial Shipping Code. So, concrete periods will be annexed in the Code.

At least 15% of annual number of foreign ships (calculated within past 3 years) entering the sea port of Azerbaijan must be carried out control checks in accordance with the Azerbaijan’s regulation. The ships transporting gas and chemical substance, which it has passed more than 10 years from its production date, cargo ships - more than 10 years, passenger ships – more than 15 years, +3,000-tonnage ships and oil tankers must be carried out control checks widely. These checks will be conducted in accordance with the relevant regulation.

Amendments project in Commercial Shipping Code was discussed at the Economic Policy Committee of Milli Majlis and recommended ton Plenary Meeting of MM.

Note that, Commercial Shipping Code regulates legal bases of commercial shipping activity, its effective organization and relations arisen from proposed development. These relations are regulated by this Code, International Agreements and normative legal acts based on them. Property relations arisen from commercial shipping and not regulating or not completely regulating by this Code are regulated by Civil Code of the Azerbaijan Republic.
