Air Astana starts flights on Astana-Baku route

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. On May 21, Kazakh Air Astana Company will launch new flight on Astana-Baku-Astana route, Companyâ€™s Baku office told APA. Te flights will be implemented by Embraer 190 aircrafts and on Monday and Friday.

â€œWe hope that, this flight will support political, economic and cultural cooperation between two brother countries, increase trade turnover. Air Astana will offer the passengers flights from Azerbaijan on domestic and international routesâ€.

Company has leased 4 Embraer 190 aircrafts to implement flights in Central Asia and CIS and signed contract to purchase such type of aircrafts. First aircraft will be delivered to the Company in July.

â€œEmbraer 190 aircraft is ideal for implementation of flights to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Russiaâ€™s south areaâ€, said the Air Astana President Peter Foster.

Ticket for economy-class starts from AZN 200, for business-class â€“ from AZN 450. The price includes airport charges and other taxes. The tickets for both directions cost AZN 376 and AZN 886. The flying time is 2 hours 55 minutes.
