Azerbaijan attends conference on Applications of Global Navigation Satellite Systems in Riga

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. International conference on Applications of Global Navigation Satellite Systems has kicked off in Riga, Latvia.

Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Communications and IT told APA that the event is organized jointly by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and the Latvia Geospatial Information Agency on behalf of the Government of Latvia. It is co-organized and co-sponsored by the European Space Agency and the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems.

The main objective of the conference to last until May 18 â€“ current state of application of global navigation satellite systems, conduct discussions on perspectives of their application, as well as development of human resources connected with the use of these systems, consider appropriate technologies and agitate the cooperation in the mentioned spheres.

Representatives of ANAS are also attending the international event.
