Earthquake does not create problem in energy, water, communication supply and transport infrastructure of Zagatala
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan says partial limitation was created in Ashagi Tala village of Zagatala, but this limitation was eliminated: “At present, there is not any problem in gas supply in Zagatala and neighbour regionsâ€.
Head of press Service of Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies Mushvig Amirov says no problem and breaks were observed in communication and internet supply.
Azersu OJSC says the earthquake did not influence the water devices and no problems are observed in Zagatala and neighbour regions.
According to head of Press Service of Azerbaijan Railways Nadir Azmammadov, passenger train on Baku-Balaken route arrived in Balaken in time: “Infrastructure Department of OJSC controls the communication, power energy supply and etc. of railway to eliminate the problemâ€.
The International Bus Terminal told that buses move in direction of Zagatala in accordance with the schedule, no closures of any part of the motor way was recorded so far: ‘No problem is observed in arrival and departure of vehicles’.
Spokesperson of AZAL Maharram Safarli told APA that the earthquake did not have a material impact on the building of Zagatala airport: ‘Plaster crumbled in some places, 3 electronic doors went out of order. However, the runways are in good condition, the airport is ready to receive and send the aircrafts. Today’s Baku-Zagatala-Baku flight will be implemented as usual’.
Zagatala central region hospital told APA that no casualties were reported during today’s quake. But nearly 20 persons arrived at the hospital with different injuries, but none of them were operated or placed at the resuscitation ward. They were given first aid and sent home.
Region hospital continues work in normal regime.
Remind that, at 09:40 today, a quake hit the 17 km south-west of Zagatala region at a depth of 10-12 km. The magnitude was 5.5 (about 7 points on a 12-point scale). Tremors were felt in other areas as well as in Ganja-Gazakh, Central Aran, Karabakh and the regions.
