Ministry of Transport holds meeting on bus accidents in Baku

Baku. Vahab Rzayev. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. Ministry of Transport started special raid on activity of buses in Baku, said the press secretary of the Ministry Namig Hasanov.

According to him, the Ministry held meeting on increase of bus accidents in Baku, recently. Minister Ziya Mammadov gave tasks on strengthening of raids.

Hasanov noted that, if itâ€™s revealed that the drivers were guilty in those accidents, they would be punished and some of them might be dismissed.

Main State Traffic Police Department says according to raids in Yusif Safarov Street, Azneft Circle, Babek, Nobel Azadliq and Neftchiler Avenues, more than 30 bus drivers have not a driver license. Besides, some buses have not registration certificate.

Records were drawn on rule violations and rule violated drivers were punished administratively.

Note that, yesterday and today, more than 30 persons were injured as a results of bus accidents in Baku.
