Turkey and Azerbaijan expanding cooperation in science, technology and industrial spheres

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Turkey and Azerbaijan intend to expand cooperation in science, technology and industrial spheres, said Turkey’s Science, Industry and Technology Minister Nihat Ergun, who is on an official visit to Baku.

To him, first, he will meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, thereupon hold meetings at ANAS, Ministries of Communications and IT, Economic Development, Industry and Energy.

Reminding that Turkey and Azerbaijan are two fraternal countries under the motto of â€œone nation, two statesâ€, Ergun noted the relations between the sides both in political and economic sphere were developing at the highest level: â€œOur Ministry has great cooperation potential with Azerbaijan in science, technology and industrial spheres. in order to realize this potential, we will expand the cooperation in the abovementioned spheresâ€.

Stressing that Azerbaijan passed great development way in recent years, the minister said Azerbaijan made serious decision in economic sphere during this period: â€œAzerbaijan does not satisfied with the economy basing only on oil and gas. Thus, basing on achievements in industry, agriculture, tourism, ICT spheres, the country prepares new programs. Strengthening of cooperation in science, technology and industrial spheres will be the main topic of forthcoming meetings to be held in Baku.
