Minister of Communications and IT Ali Abbasov said that the portal will operate with “one window” principle.

To him, approximate list of the services to be rendered via the portal has been prepared and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers and passed the ratification during the first stage: ‘Our main goal – to render e-services to the population after the launch of e-portal and conclude their demand for services during work period. Knowing of people’s wished and offers are necessary for us in order to maintain activity of the portal at a satisfactory level’.

Abbasov noted that Azerbaijani citizens will be able to use different e-services of state bodies.

Note that, 16 central executive bodies, including the Interior Ministry, Taxes Ministry and etc. joined the portal until April, 2012. Consequently, about 60 e-services were integrated into the portal. In the second half of 2013, nearly 300 e-services are considered to launch in Azerbaijan.

In order to use the portal, people must have e-signature card. The cost of the “e-signature” card for individuals is AZN 20-30, for civil servants – AZN 135, for commercial entities – AZN 168. Application of e-signature will allow full use of e-services in the country and eliminate bureaucratic obstacles.
