Azerbaijan increases import of cars by 15%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. 29,605 cars at $348.832 were imported to Azerbaijan during the first half-year of 2011. In comparison to last year, the cost of imported cars increased by 18%, number â€“ 12%.

SCC says during the reporting period, the country imported 680 tractors at $14.657mln, 261 bus at $11.327 mln, cars at $260.776 mln, 2,366 trucks at $45.086 mln and 137 special-purpose vehicles at $16.986 mln.

Compared to previous year, the cost of imported tractors decreased by 6.4%, the number had risen to 3.3%, the cost of imported buses fell by 52.3%, the number - 42.4%, the price of imported cars rose 38.7%, the number - 14.7%, the cost of imported vehicles decreased by 20.3%, the number of - 0.8%, the cost of imported special-purpose vehicles rose 45.3%, the number decreased by 4.2 %.
