Four adviser companies to be selected for making of Regional Development Plan for Greater Baku

According to him, 1 company has already been selected and this is State Design Institute. Other 3 companies will be international organizations: â€œIn April-May, selection of advisers will be completedâ€.

He also noted that, making of this plan would be finished until end of 2012.

Note that the companies to be selected will conduct investigations on urban and regional planning, strategic ecologic assessment, competitiveness of Greater Baku and local economic development strategy and make recommendations.

A impact on environment during implementation of RDPGB will be assessed within the Strategic Ecological Assessment. Policy, institutional and management measures for providence of urban planning of Greater Baku will be recommended and projects and plans on the sectors will be offered.

Detailed analytical investigation on local economy and competitiveness of Baku and making of Strategy and Act Plan are planned to be conducted within the Local Economic Development Strategy and Competitiveness of Greater Baku.

Institutional Development Plan for Baku Region and Effective Planning System for Azerbaijan and Baku are planned ton be made within urban and regional planning works.
