Cargo transportation by railway transport rises 3% in January, Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Cargo transportation by railway transport rose 3% to 1.7 mln tons, in January, 2011.

State Statistical Committee says that 641 wagons were entrained, 432 wagons detrained per day. 32 000 tons of cargo entrained on the North direction, 2 900 tons on West direction and 2 700 tons on South direction. Cargo turnover rose 2.9% to 655 mln ton-km.
