Tariff indexes on transport sector rise 0.2% in January

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. The tariff indexes on Azerbaijanâ€™s transport sector made 100.2%, in January, 2011, 96.3% compared to a year ago.

State Statistical Committee says that, the tariffs on domestic cargo transportation rose 24.8%, on transit cargo transportation â€“ 1.8%, transportation to other countries decreased by 4.2%, bringing from other countries by 0.1%. Tariffs on international passenger transportation slipped 0.6%.

Tariffs on cargo transportation to abroad and CIS countries via sea transport have decreased by 0.1%.

Cargo transportation via air transport to CIS countries rose 2.3%, domestic passenger transportation decreased by 18.4%, on CIS countries by 9.2%, on abroad by 0.2%.

Cargo transportation tariffs on oil transportation via pipeline increased 4%, gas transportation by 2.5%.
