New terminal to be constructed in Baku Airport

According to the project, 3 mln passengers in a year will be able to use new terminal considered for international flights. Total area of the terminal will be 53 thousand sq. meters.

It is planned to create full comfortableness for passengers and decrease preflight stress to minimum. Trade center and recreation areas are expected to construct in new terminal as well.

At the same time, â€œArupâ€ company took into consideration that Baku is located in the seismic area. New terminal will provide output terminals for 8 airlines and be bale to receive Â«Boeing-676Â» airliner. The construction will begin in the early 2011 and end in 2013.

Note that, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC has ordered the construction of new terminal.
