Azerbaijani Transport Ministry holds board meeting

Minister Ziya Mammadov noted that Azerbaijan reached great achievements in recent years and became one of the leading countries for its development rate, the ministry sources told APA-Economics. The minister spoke about the reforms in transport sector in 2010 and gave details about the outcomes of last year and prospective plans for 2011.

Azerbaijan Railway CEO Arif Asgaro, Azeryolservice JSC CEO Javid Gurbanov, Autoneqliyyatservcie department chief Chingiz Bakhishev made reports at the meeting. Minister Mammadov delivered final speech and called the outcomes of 2010 satisfactory.

He said despite certain progress, there are problems in roads and railways, passenger transport. He urged to take systematized measures in short time to regulate the work of city transport.

Relevant decisions were made on the issues discussed at the board meeting.
