Azerbaijani government discusses offers on changing of road taxes

To him, the offers include trucks and buses of foreign citizens entering Azerbaijan with quota, issues of attracting them in road taxes in period their existence in the country: â€œAt present, the Cabinet of Ministers is considering the mentioned issuesâ€.

Currently, buses and trucks arriving in Azerbaijan with quota from Russia, Georgia and Ukraine are not involved in road taxes. The committeeâ€™s offer is related to limitation of this time. That is, those vehicles will be free from taxes only within 30 days, after the determined period they have to pay taxes.

As of cars, if currently, foreigners arriving in Azerbaijan pay $ 15 USD regardless of engine size and period, SCCâ€™s offer considers differentiation of the tax depending on period and engine size. Consequently, vehicle owners came from foreign countries will pay tax which is considered for local population.
