Transit cargo transportation through Azerbaijan rises 42%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. In 2010, 9454.7 thousand tons of cargo were transported through Azerbaijan.

According o SSC, the transit cargoes were transported mainly to Bermuda Islands (3 366.0 thousand tons), Italy (1 719.1 thousand tons) Switzerland (1 599.6 thousand tons), Georgia (592.4 thousand tons), Iran (565.8 thousand tons), Afghanistan (447.7 thousand tons), Tajikistan (410.9 thousand tons), Turkmenistan (184.9 thousand tons), Turkey (159.5 thousand tons) and Russia (237.5 thousand tons).

Transit cargo transportation through Azerbaijan rose 41.5% to 2 773 thousand tons.
