TRACECA cargo and passenger transportation increased in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. 47.2 million tonnes of cargo and 205.2 million passengers were transported in January-November, 2010 in the Azerbaijani part of Europe-Caucasus-Asia corridor (TRACECA).
Cargo turnover was increased 8.8% and passenger transport 8.2% in comparison with outcomes of 2009, the state statistics committee told APA-Economics.
42.5% of cargo was carried by cars, 39.7% - railway, 17.8% - sea transport and cargo transportation was increased in all types of transport, including 8.4% - cars, 6.7% - railway and 15.15 â€“ sea transport.
Cargo transportation incomes were AZN 257.7 million and passenger transportation â€“ AZN 35.4 million, which exceeds the previous yearâ€™s outcomes respectively 16% and 13.15%.
