Proposal put forth to auction historical buildings in the center of Baku

According to Novruz Eldarli, head of execution group of Project on Greater Baku Regional Development Plan, the apartments in the same building are designed to put up in auction to be renovated by the new residents, in accordance to the offer supported by most of architects. The same residents are offered to be provided with other apartments in other areas.

He also noted that, the main purpose was renovation of the same buildings, completely: â€œThese are the results of Soviet Period. The poor persons live in these apartments and they canâ€™t protect their apartment. Several persons canâ€™t save the entry of the house and the architectural monuments are destroyed, whereas these are the history of Baku. There is no other way to save the buildings well. This is the world practiceâ€.

It was also designed to construct the new building having high quality architecture in the places of old cabins among the historical monuments.

The second offer is the renovation of buildings in the area between the Narimanov and Azerbaijan Avenues and merging it to around of Icherisheher: â€œOver 50% of these buildings is valuable and historicalâ€.
