Russian-made Tu-134 and Tu-154, which have operated flights on this route up to now, are banned, spokesman for Azerbaijan Air Lines Maharram Safarli told APA-Economics.

He said the operation of new aircrafts will ensure security and comfort of the passengers flying to Nakhchivan.

Due to this, the number of the passengers to Nakhchivan will increase. Unlike Tu-134 with passenger capacity of 70 and Tu-154 with passenger capacity of 140-160, the passenger capacity of Aerobus is 122, Boeing-757 is 180.

Safarli also said that the operation of new aircrafts has not affected the flight schedule and price of tickets (one-way ticket costs AZN 75).

Only Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku flight has been operated by Russian-made aircrafts. From now on AzAL will not operate Russian aircrafts.
