Azerbaijani population to watch tens of TV-channels freely

According to him, presently, the digital broadcasting covers 30-40% of the country and this will be reached 60% by the end of 2010. At the initial stage, 60 channels will be broadcasted in Baku, 30 in regions.

Besides, the TVs must be digital or they must be joined relevant installation. Some of channels will be free, some will be paid channels. List of free channels will be approved in accordance to official order and this order will be compulsory for broadcasting companies.

Note that, all countries must switch to digital broadcasting by 2015 in accordance to ITUâ€™s decision.
