Boeing Company makes changes in flight deck of 737 aircraft
According to APA-Economics, Kent Craver, Boeing Co.’s regional director for passenger satisfaction, the made changes were connected with cargo space located over heads of passengers and considered for bags. That is, at present, these cargo spaces do not impede passengers and each person can gently stand up from their seats: “At the same time, we have changed lights inside flight deck as well. Thus, depending on the time of a day, the cabin is lighted by 3 different colours, and it lets passengers flying far not to lose the time and helps for adaptation. Generally, before people boarding a flight, they have different procedures at the airport and we decided to create opportunity for passengers to rest during the flightâ€.
Other changes in Boeing 737 are related to installation of each seat with monitor inside the cabin. Passengers may watch Hollywood films and animations, at the same time they can listen to music, order meals and things selling in the plane.
Flydubai CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith says that passengers can buy head-phones for 5 ($1.5) dirhams and order any film for 25 (6.8$) dirhams: “We are the first company ordering this novelty. These airliners will be used on long routesâ€.
Ghaith Al Ghaith noted that 60 % of Boeing 737 planes will be provided with the same systems within 2011.
Doug Cline, CEO of Lumexis said that at present, only 4 airliners had been provided with this new system and all planes belonged to flydubai: “We expect orders from other air companies as wellâ€.
Note that, a group of media representatives from Azerbaijan got acquainted with Boeing 737 airliners provided with Boeing Sky Interior 737-800NG. They visited Dubai and Beirut cities. Those flights were realized by these new planes.
