Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies visits Turkey

Baku â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Informetin Technologies Ali Abbasov was on a visit to Turkey to attend the opening ceremony of 24th World Congress of International Project Management Association (IPMA) on 1-3 November, 2010, in Istanbul.

According to MCIT press service the visit was carried out by the invitation of the Minister of Transport of Turkey Bunali Yildirim.

Note that IPMA was established in 1965. It has more than 40 000 members.

Speaking in the opening ceremony Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke about the economic development of Turkey. He also spoke about the importance of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.

Azerbaijani Minister Ali Abbasov made a speech on realized projects, especially Transnational-Eurasian Information Super Highway, Regional Innovation Zone and AzerSpace global and regional projects.

He also held bilateral meetings with Turkish Minister of Transport Binali Yildirim.

Minister met with Miles Shepherd, Chairman of the Executive Board of the International Project Management Association (IPMA) and leaders of Turktelecom, Turkcell. Karel and other companies.
