During January-July 2023, 780 traffic accidents happened on highways in Azerbaijan, according to a report of the State Statistics Committee, APA reports.
This is 4,5% less than the same period of the previous year.
The number of people affected by accidents decreased by 4,8 %, making it 1056 people. 387 of them died, and 669 of them were wounded. 44,3 % of accidents happened during daytime, 39,4% of them happened during nighttime, 16,3% of them happened during twilight, and 29,2% of accidents happened over weekends.
