The Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan has released information regarding a traffic accident in Tartar that resulted in the death of two people, including a minor, the Department told APA.
Yesterday around 22:00, in the Gulabatli village of the Tartar district, a tractor driven by village resident Khagani Aydinov collided with a VAZ vehicle operated without a driving license by Adalat Hasanaliyev, a resident of the Sahlabad village.
After the accident, the tractor driver fled the scene. Adalat Hasanaliyev, along with his granddaughter born in 2023, and another relative Zahra Mammadova, was hospitalized.
Despite efforts, it was not possible to save the lives of A. Hasanaliyev and his young granddaughter.
The tractor driver, Kh. Aydinov, has been detained. A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is underway.
