Remains of nearly 500 people missing in I Garabagh War found in mass graves

After the Patriotic War, under the instruction of President of Azerbaijan, the search process for remains of the missing persons during the First Garabagh War started, Head of the Special Investigations Department of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan Emil Taghiyev said during a briefing about missing persons, APA reports. 

He asserted that the human remains of 28 people in the area of Dashalti village of Shusha district, 27 people in the area of Edilli village of Khojavand district, 9 people in the area of Sarijali village of Aghdam district and a total of 500 people in other regions have been found in the mass burials discovered as a result of search carried out in the liberated territories since November of 2020, and in order to identify the remains of those bodies with the missing persons during the First Garabagh War, along with the Forensic Medical Expertise, about 300 DNA expertise were appointed.
