The preliminary results of the investigation into the AZAL plane crash will be announced next week, said Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev, APA reports.

According to him, the process of reading the "black boxes" sent to Brazil has been completed and they have been returned.

Kanat Bozumbayev stated that the preliminary results of the investigation into the plane crash near Aktau will be announced next week: "This is a large-scale international effort. Next week, our country's Ministry of Transport will make the preliminary results public. In accordance with ICAO's recommendation, preliminary results must be disclosed within 30 days after the incident. There are some difficulties, but the commission should complete its work on time. At the same time, a criminal case has been opened by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It has been carried out under the supervision of Transport Prosecutor Timur Suleymenov. Ballistic and explosion-technical expert assessments have been conducted within this criminal case. Currently, the investigation is ongoing in this regard."
