A vehicle carrying cargo from the Islamic Republic of Iran and transiting through the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Türkiye was subjected to a thorough inspection at the "Julfa" customs post of the Nakhchivan Main Customs Department, APA's local bureau reports.
During the inspection, which was conducted with the use of a canine service dog, 101 kg 400 grams of a psychotropic substance - methamphetamine - was discovered in liquid form from the fuel additive tank and the heating system tank of the vehicle.
At the same time, a personal inspection was conducted on the driver of the vehicle. During the inspection, 2 packages of the drug - dried marijuana, weighing a total of 4.771 grams, were found on him.
An investigation into the fact is underway.
