The "112" hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about the discovery of ammunition in the territory of the Khatai district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) told APA.
It was reported that following the information, the special rapid response group of the MES's Special Risky Rescue Service (SRRS) for mine clearance was immediately dispatched to the scene.
After the relevant security measures were taken together with law enforcement officers, during an inspection of the area, it was revealed that the discovered ammunition was an F-1 hand grenade, which is suitable for combat use.
The ammunition was removed from the area by the SRRS's specialists to safely neutralize it.
No other dangerous or suspicious items were discovered during the additional search of the scene and surrounding area.
