Forest fire breaks out in Azerbaijan

On August 22, the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received information about the fire broke out at the forest strip at the mountainous area nearby Solguja village of Gabala district, APA reports citing press service of the MES.

Firefighting units of State Fire Protection Service of the MES, personnel of Civil Defense Troops and North-west Regional Center, 1 helicopter of Aviation group and “BE 200 CS” amphibious aircraft were involved in extinguishing the fire. Works on extinguishing the wildfire still continue.

A forest fire has broken out in Gabala region of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

The fire occurred forest area of Solguja village of Gabala region.

A helicopter and a plane of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been involved in extinguishing of the fire.

Extinguishing operations are underway at the moment.
