The “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received report about the discovery of military ammunition in the Azerbaijan neighborhood of Nakhchivan city, APA's Nakhchivan bureau reports.
In connection with the report, pyrotechnicians of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were immediately involved in the incident.
After taking appropriate security measures in the area together with law enforcement officers, it was determined that the ammunition discovered during the inspection of the scene were six 88 mm artillery shells, a 120 mm artillery shell, a 60 mm artillery shell, and a 60 mm mortar shell.
The ammunition was removed from the area by pyrotechnicians for neutralization.
No other dangerous or suspicious items were discovered during an additional search of the scene and the surrounding area.
