112 hot line of Ministry of Emergency Situations has been informed of the fire broke out in the hostel building in 41th block in Sumgait, APA reports citing Ministry.
MES’s forces of State Fire Protection Department under State Fire Protection Service have immediately attracted to the area related to the information. Thanks to the firefighters’ quick intervention without letting the fire which broke out in the electric board set up in the general corridor of the 5-story dormitory’s third floor spread as well as spread to the flats was extinguished in short time.
As a result of security measures 11 residents, 5 of them being children were evacuated. As a result of the fire 6 speedometers, 6 safety switches and 5 p.m. electric cables burnt. The flats and dormitory building were saved from fire.
