A call was received by the Republic Emergency and Urgent Medical Care Center on January 18 at around 12:50 PM regarding a pedestrian collision in the Yalavaj village area of the Imishly district, the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) said in response to APA's inquiry.
TABIB reported that two emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Three children (female) with various degrees of bodily injuries, including one in critical condition, were evacuated to the Imishly District Central Hospital.
A 1992-born (male) and a 2015-born (female) individual were initially diagnosed with closed skull-brain trauma and provided with necessary medical services. They are currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit, and their conditions are considered severe.
One of the evacuees (female) was pronounced dead before reaching the hospital.
It is also noted that one child died before the arrival of medical personnel at the scene.

The minors who died in the accident in the ImishlY district are the nephews of the police officer responsible for the incident, APA reports.
According to sources cited by Lent.az, it is reported that the condition of the traffic police inspector who was also injured in the accident is critical.

A fatal traffic accident has taken place in Azerbaijan's Imishly district, the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA.
According to the information, a State Traffic Police vehicle en route to duty collided with children on the roadside after another vehicle obstructed its path. Two of the children were killed, while other minors and the driver were hospitalized.
A criminal case has been launched, and the incident is under investigation by police and prosecutorial authorities.
