The "112" hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about the discovery of military ammunition by police officers in the territory of Kangarli district, Yeni Karki and Gabilli villages, the Press Service of the Ministry released information in this regard, APA reports.
In response, pyrotechnicians from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were immediately sent to the scene. After security measures were taken by law enforcement officers, an inspection of the site revealed that the discovered ammunition included one PQ-2 40 mm grenade launcher shell, one 85 mm BR-365 rifled artillery shell, one 76 mm B-350 armor-piercing artillery shell, one 23 mm OFZT rifled anti-aircraft artillery shell, and the warhead of one RPG-7 grenade launcher shell.
The ammunition was collected and removed from the site by pyrotechnicians for safe disposal.
Further searches of the area and its surroundings revealed no other dangerous or suspicious items.
