Four members of a family suffered carbon monoxide poisoning in Nakhchivan's Ordubad, and a 90-year-old man died, APA’s Nakhchivan bureau reports.
The incident occurred last night in the Aghri village of the district.
It was reported that Salman Baghirov, born in 1935, his wife Manzar Badalova, born in 1943, their daughter-in-law Gizbasti Zeynalova, born in 1961, and their relative Ramziya Fataliyeva, born in 1955, were poisoned by carbon monoxide (from a gas stove).
They were taken to the Infectious Diseases Center of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
During the incident, S. Baghirov passed away, and his wife M. Badalova is being treated in the intensive care unit. The other two individuals were discharged after receiving initial medical care.
The Ordubad District Prosecutor's Office is investigating the case.
