Yasamal Police Department, injured during incident with butchers, operated on his head

The deputy chief of Yasamal Police Department Chingiz Mammadov was operated on his head after incident with owners of butcheries, the head of Public Security Department of Baku Main Police Department Shamil Seyidli told APA. He said that Chingiz Mammadov injured on his head with stone. He also said that the Deputy Headâ€™s life is out of risk and he is now being treated at Musa Naghiev Emergency Hospital. In confrontation the chief of Public Security Department of Yasamal Police Station Rafiq Jafarov broke his arm. Above all, 7 policemen received wounds of different grades. Shamil Seyidli said that 4 butchers were arrested on that case. The arrested are detained at the Yasamal Police Department and the incident is being investigated.
Despite the protests of meat salesmen who are mainly from Minkand village of Lachin the destroying of shops went on today. Unlike previous days many policemen were brought to the place and the street was closed. At the time meat shops are being destroyed with the lorries working there.
The incident between police and butchers happened on March, 8. Though local authorities warned them about destroying their anti-sanitary shops and promised to provide 37 butchers with new shops that meet sanitary codes the shop owners did not agree. The butchery owners do not believe that their shops will be returned to them. So they intend to appeal to higher instances on this case. /APA/
