Azerbaijani parliament memberâ€™s relative killed â€“ <font color=red>UPDATED </font>

Inspector of Sumgayit prosecutorâ€™s office Emin Mirzayev told APA that the investigation was being carried out, the perpetrator and the murdered person were being identified. According to initial reports, the murdered person worked in a foreign exchange office.

Criminal case has been launched on the fact on article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code.

Member of the Azerbaijani parliament Igbal Aghazadeh told APA that brother-in-law of his sister Vugar Balayev was killed when he left home together with his father Ismayil Balayev this morning. Balayevs were attacked on their way to office. Two unknown men shot them with pistol killing Vugar Balayev and seriously wounding his father Ismayil Balayev.

Aide to prosecutor of Sumgayit city Kamran Mahmoudov told APA that no one has been detained yet. Witnesses are giving testimony now. According to the preliminary reports, murdered and wounded persons had money, but it has not been identified yet whether they have been robbed or not. He said necessary measures are taken for identification and detention of perpetrators.

Vugar Balayev was killed near the exchange office in the first micro-district of Sumgayit where he worked.
