Azerbaijan’s Constitutional Court makes comments on three articles of Criminal Code

Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s Constitutional Court held its plenary meeting on Wednesday, APA reports quoting AzerTAC agency. The meeting presided over by the court chairman Farhad Abdullayev made comments on articles 72, 73 and 74 about the “committing non-dangerous crime for the first time” by the request of Shirvan Appeal Court.

The Court heard Judge Bahram Garibov’s report, opinions of lawyers, experts and other persons invited to the plenary meeting.

The Court decided that articles 72, 73 and 74 about the ‘committing non-dangerous crime for the first time” consider the persons committed such crimes, but not charged with it.
The decision comes into force on the day of its adoption and it can not be changed, amended by any organization or person.

Member of the Constitutional Court Eldar Mammadov had a special opinion on this case. The court officials told APA that the judge’s opinion will be publicized later.
