Military Prosecutorâ€™s Office investigates killing of woman on defense line

Baku â€“ APA. Military Prosecutorâ€™s Office is investigating the killing of the Azerbaijani woman on the defense line, spokesman for Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu told APA. Sabiroglu said it is hard to express concrete opinion on the incident.
â€œThe causes are not known yet. Military Prosecutorâ€™s Office is carrying out investigation. There may be various suppositions. It would be wrong to focus on our suppositions and give information while the investigation is being carried out. It may also be regarded as interference in the investigation,â€ he said.

â€œThe process will not last long. After that it will be possible to give information about the causes of the incident,â€ the spokesman said.

Defense Ministryâ€™s press service had reported that resident of Aghdam region Sadagat Pasha Mammadova entered the defense line in the morning on December 20 under the undetermined circumstances. Azerbaijani servicemen fired in that direction and the woman died on the spot.

APAâ€™s Karabakh bureau reports that resident of Aghdam region Mammadova Sadagat Pasha left her house two days ago and did not come back.

Mammadova was born in Khindiristan village and married to the resident of Alibayli village. Mammadova has been recently divorces and returned to the house of her daughter in Khindiristan.

The village residents say Mammadova suffered mental affection. They say the woman disappeared two days ago.
