Pakistani and Uzbek citizens sentenced for drug traffic

Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. The court of Grave Crimes of Azerbaijan sentenced the citizens of Pakistan and Uzbekistan for drug traffic. According to APA, the court presided over by Judge Ahmad Guliyev sentenced each of the citizen of Pakistan Hamidullah Bakhbadshah, the citizens of Uzbekistan Manzura Sayfilloyeva and Muyiba Khamarayeva for 11 years of imprisonment.

According to indictment, two kilogram of heroin was confiscated from them during the operation conducted by the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan on June 19, 2009.

The accused persons were charged under article 206.3.2 (smuggling by a group of persons), 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (production, sale, storage, transportation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by a group of persons or organized criminal group) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
