Moscow. Roman Aghayev – APA. Azerbaijani student of the Moscow State Open University Chemistry School Orkhan Khanlar Sharifov, 21 was cruelly beaten, APA’s Moscow bureau chief reports. On December 4, several men attacked him near Kitay-gorod subway station. Sharifov is Russian citizen. “I was beaten when in the subway passage when I returned from the bakery. I stood up and asked nearby people who beat me. They showed a man who talked with several others at the subway exit. I approached them and asked him why he beat me. They attacked me again and beat”, said Orkhan Sharifov and added that there were several soldiers at site during the incident but they became indifferent and didn’t try to help him. “They were beating me and no one around didn’t come to help. I could escape but they caught me again near the subway entrance. There was police officer and he stopped assaulters and took them away to the police office”.

Orkhan Sharifov said friends of those men at police office tried to pressure him and even offered money to end the investigation. “Those who beat me were previously convicted people and one of them is former police officer. They talked me into agreement with them. They said it would be better for both of us”.

Sharifov said he didn’t accept their offers. “Police indifferently approached the issue. They appointed identification parade at 8.00, but forced me to wait for three hours”. Sharifov said the materials were sent to Moscow subway police office for investigation.
